We had hoped to dine at the Speight’s Ale House, but they had run out of food by 9PM (even though the sun had yet to
set and there were 2 more hours of light!). What a stroke of good fortune! We popped next door to
Relishes Café.
With
the exception of an under-server named Debbie, we were the only non-Kiwis in
the place. Service was delightful, and everyone was so friendly! Food was
divine! Ned had goat with quinoa – yummy! I had clams from Dunedin and a
scrumptious salad. We also discovered two local wines that we plan to pursue
tomorrow.

The food!!!! I can't!!!!! Everything looks so good!!! Is it far enough South that it never quite gets dark right now, or do you get a full-on-dark for a few hours?
